Sketch-A-Day Layouts
This first one is of my handsome 19 yr. old son using Basic Grey's Granola collection. Big boys or little boys it doesn't matter this paper works great for boy pages. It also works great with black and white photos as well as sepia toned. I love this paper! I still have a few strips of journaling that I want to add to the upper right hand corner. But all in all, I'm very pleased with the way this one turned out.
This second layout is also of my hansdsome boy when he was about 4 yrs old. Yes, I know I'm a little behind in my scrapping, but hey, I do this for therapeutic reasons so I work at my own pace. lol. Mmm, mmm, mmm, I just love a man in a tux, no matter how old he is. BTW, the papers used here are SEI's Black Orchid collection.
Thanks for looking and I hope you all have a scrap happy day!

Scouts honor!
These first two I did for the Sketch-A-Day Club. As you can see, I finally broke down and used my 12x12 sheets of Chloe's Closet papers by Making Memories - love these papers! I had been using the 6x6 pad and hoarding the big paper. I thought it was 'bout time I pulled it out and used it. I also used a butterfly stamp from Stampin' Up and my Labels 1 die from Spellbinders.
This second layout is of my handsome son (if I do say so myself). Yeah, I'm a little bias. What can I say, I'm his mother. I used Basic Grey's Hang 10 Collection for this one. I struggled with it for a couple of hours until it finally dawned on me to print it out again in a sepia tone - I'm such a dumb ass sometimes. lol. Once I did that, it came together in about 10 minutes! Love the smirk on my sons face -this was as close to a smile as I could get that day! lol.
And this last one I did for the UYS blog. This month the challenge was to use glitter. GLITTER! YIKES! I panicked - I have never used glitter before! But hey, a challenge is a challenge so I did the best I could. This is not one of my favorite layouts, but nonetheless, it is a completed page.I used 3 different paper manufacturers - Bo Bunny, Scenic Route and The Paper Studio. I ran the letters through my Xyron machine so that the glitter Corey sent would stick to 'em. And it did for the most part, as long as you don't touch it anyways. lol. Have I mentioned that I suck at glitter. lol. Anywho, the glitter is by Pink Paislee and if any of you have any tips for me I would greatly appreciate them.
Be sure to check out the new look over and the Use Your Stash blog and follow along because there are going to be some major changes starting next month!
