Sorry for the delay in posting but life has been a little crazy around here the last several days. My 81 yr. old mother in law who lives next door to me fell in her bathroom the 10th of January and broke her wrist and severely bruised her hip and back. She is slowly recovering from her physical injuries but psychologically she still has a long way to go. She seems to be afraid of staying alone in fear of falling again. My sister in law came to get her today so that she can watch her for a few days to give us a little break. If you're the praying kind, please remember her in your prayers tonight.

Here's a quick little card I created between loads of laundry today.

Valentine Match Books

Since Valentine's Day is fast approaching I thought I would share a cute little project I made last year using scraps of cardstock and patterned paper. These are little match book favors that hold a miniature candy bar or as I have here a small bag of Valentine's M&M's. The bag that I used to hold the M&M's is a jewerly bag that I purchased in a pack of 50 I think at my local Michael's.

To give the hearts that crinkled look I rolled them through my Fiskars corrugator.

UYS Stash Card

I had made a few of these little teeny tiny cards awhile back by folding in half a large scallop rectangle by Spellbinders, so I thought why not try it with the Labels 1 die. This time I folded my cardstock in half and taped it just under the cut line at the top of the largest die and rolled it through my Cuttlebug. After that, I decorated it with scraps from the layout that I did earlier in the month for UYS and of course I had to add brads (which happens to be the stash item for January) and this is the end result! It's a little busy for my liking, but it's starting to grow on me. LOL.

Deets: Cardstock: The Paper Co. Pattern Paper: SEI. Letters: Sizzlets. Stamp: Autumn Leaves. Brads: Making Memories. Punches: Marvy and Martha Stewart. Die: Labels 1.

Now head on over to the UYS blog to see what the rest of the DT did with brads this month!

UYS Stash Challenge

Got brads? If so, then head on over to the Use Your Stash blog and join in on this months challenge. All you need to do to participate is create a new layout using brads and link it to the blog by the 20th of January. Easy peasy, right?

Here's mine.
It's an 11x8.5 layout of my little Lulu laying in the passenger seat next to me. She loves to ride, and when she sees me put my shoes on she knows we are getting ready to go somewhere and she is not going to let my car pull out of the drive way without her in it. On this particular day, I happened to have my camera in the car and quickly snapped a pic of her looking up at me. She is such a camera ham! LOL.

Be sure to check out the UYS blog to see what the other DT members created this month and while you're there, don't forget to link us to your layout. We would love to see your creations!
