Home Sweet Home meets Basic Grey

When I was still in junior high school, my mom and aunt ran a craft shop called, Needles and Crafts. It was a little hole in the wall craft store that specialized in cross stitch and embroidery. It was not unusual for them to work on a piece for weeks at a time. I on the other hand, had very little tolerance for sitting still long enough to finish a piece. What can I say, I was a teenager and all I had on my mind was......you guessed it, BOYS! After I got married and moved into my first house, my Christmas gifts consisted of cross stitch pieces that they had lovingly worked on for days and weeks at a time. Some of my favorites are the samplers featuring my new last name and the year I was married.

So Mom and Auntie Faye, if you read my blog, this is for you! Although mine didn't take me days or weeks to complete I'm still pretty damn satisfied with it.

Deets: Pattern Paper: Making Memories and Basic Grey's Urban Prairie collection. Other products used: Quickutz, Fiskars Scallop border punch and Spellbinders oval nestabilitie. The little crocheted flower can be found HERE.

TFL and I hope you all enjoying your weekend!
