This month over at Cookin' Up Creations the design team had the opportunity to work with some of the cutest papers in the industry..... U R My Favorite collection by Nikki Sivils. If you haven't seen them yet be sure to check them out!
Here's a few simple projects I created using these cute papers. First up are these little paper Chinese fortune cookies I created using THIS tutorial. These little cookies were so quick and easy to make and I think a big bowl of these sitting around during Valentine's Day and Christmas would make a nice decoration and you can print out your own fortunes and put them inside.........and the best part is, you can make them in less than an hour!
I also made a few sour cream containers with the same line. These were also really easy to make and I think these could be used as party favors......just fill them up with little toys or trinkets and some candy and seal 'em up. I could also see these being filled with mints and used at baby showers or wedding receptions.
To make these you will need the following supplies:
pattern paper
crimper (optional)
strong double face tape
hole punch
ribbon

Directions:
Step 1. Cut pattern paper to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and add adhesive to one short side and both long sides.
Step 1. Cut pattern paper to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and add adhesive to one short side and both long sides.
Step 2. Roll the short ends together (overlapping the adhesive) until it looks like a toilet paper roll.
Step 3. Pinch one end together and fill with candy or little toys.
Step 4. Pinch the other end together in the opposite direction and crimp both ends.
Step 5. Decorate tops with ribbon and tags and voila!
Have fun creating!
And what would a post of mine be without a few simple cards.
Thanks for looking........enjoy your Tuesday!
